This scholarship will be available to those who are studying from class 9TH to Ph.D. Interested candidates who will have Sanskrit subjects in the academic season are eligible for Sanskrit Scholarship. Sanskrit Scholarship 2024

This Sanskrit Scholarship 2024 has been launched by the Government of India. The scholarship authority decides that students who have “Sanskrit” as their main subject in the current academic season can apply for this Sanskrit scholarship. How many people get the scholarship depends on the full scholarship fund. The duration of the scholarship varies from 10 months to two years for each category or level. Students have to complete the application process through the official website when the application process starts.

Object Of The Sanskrit Scholarship

The main objective of the Sanskrit Scholarship is to promote the subject of Sanskrit. Only those who have Sanskrit as the main subject will get this scholarship. Terms & Conditions

• The applicant must have obtained a minimum of 60% (General), 55% (OBC), and 50% (SC/ST/Divine Body)or an equivalent grade, in their previous academic standard.
• Applicants must apply for the grant again. The following academic year is not automatically renewable.
• No documents should need to be uploaded or sent via mail or another method.
• The bank account and Aadhar card must be linked.
• Sanskrit, Pali, or Prakrit must be selected by the applicant as either a main or optional subject for further study.
• Students need to open an account in any nationalized bank preferably State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Indian Bank, Canara Bank & or Union Bank of India for funds transfer.
• Students who have already received the scholarship will not get the benefit of this scholarship.

Sanskrit Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are eligible only if they have to study the main subject Sanskrit subject in the current academic season.

Class 9/ Purva-Madhyama first year

• Class VIII annual exam with 60% marks 

Class 10/ Purva-Madhyama first year

• Class IX annual exam with 60% marks 

Class XI/ Prak-Shastri second/Uttar Madhyama- 

• second-year Class 10 board with 60% marks 

Class XII/ Prak-Shastri second/Uttar Madhyama- 

• second-year Class XI annual exam with 60% marks 

B.A/ B.A (Hons)/ Shastri-first year

• 10+2 board with 60% marks 

B.A/ B.A (Hons)/ Shastri-second year

• Shastri/ B.A/ B.A (Hons) first-year exam with 60% marks

Sanskrit Scholarship: Application Procedure 

• Students first need to visit the official website of the scholarship to apply

• You must select the schemes option from the portal’s home page.
• Select the proper link from the notification list that appears on the computer screen.
• The form will appear on the screen once you click the link to apply online.
• Fill out the application by including information like
  • Name
  • Contact number
  • Email id
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Category etc.
• Check the application, then select the “submit” option.
• Print the form for future reference.

Sanskrit Scholarship: Selection Process

The selection process put in place by the scholarship authority is discussed below:-

• Scholarships will be awarded to students selected by the Scholarship Authority.
• The scholarship will be awarded based on the student’s previous cut-off percentage.
• Officials will place the recommendations by the committee in front of GIAC for final approval. 
• Students will get scholarships based on their courses.

4. It is better not to wait for the last date to apply
