Labour Card Scholarship 2024

Both students studying in pre-matric and post-matric classes are eligible for labour card scholarship. There are two scholarships under the scholarship that parents of students working under Beedi, IOMC, and LSDM will be able to get the scholarship amount. Many students from these families dream of pursuing higher courses but cannot fulfill them due to poor financial conditions. Keeping that in mind, the Ministry of Labor and Employment has specially launched labour card scholarship 2024. All working persons earning less than a certain amount in a financial year can apply for this type of scholarship. In the future, they can get admission to all of India’s prestigious courses.

Labour Card Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 

Before applying for this scholarship you need to know the eligibility. Eligibility for this scholarship is precisely discussed below:-

• The student’s parents must be employed full-time in the Beedi, Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Mines, Limestone & Dolomite Mines, or Cine with at least six months of employment. Contract/Ghar Khata (Home Based) workers are also included in this.
• The worker’s family’s monthly income from all sources should not be more than 10,000
• The Educational Institute must be a Government/Government Recognized Institute.
• Scholars who are enrolled in correspondence courses are not eligible.
• The students must have passed the last qualifying examination on the first attempt. However, Students promoted to the next class can also apply for the above scholarships.
• Candidates who receive scholarships or stipends from any other source will not be granted under this Scheme.
• The applicant should have a separate bank account. In the case of a Joint Account, the first name should be of the Scholar.
• More than one child of the same worker also should furnish a separate bank account number.
• Each student is required to furnish a separate Mobile Number.

• The Ministry of Labor and Employment has introduced Labor Card Scholarship.
• Only children of BEEDI /CINE /IOMC/LSDM workers will get this scholarship.
• Different types of scholarships are given to the students.
• Post-matric scholarships start from Rs 3000 and end up to Rs 25,000.
• Apart from this, the pre-matric scholarship starts at RS 1000 and ends at RS 2000.
• Students from classes 1 to 10 come under a pre-matric scholarship.
• On the other hand, students pursuing ITI/Polytechnic/Professional and degree courses from Class 11th onwards are covered under Post Matric Scholarship.
• Polytechnic and ITI students get a benefit of Rs.6000.
