The Rajasthan State Department of College Education has launched the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Students who want to pursue UG, PG, and Ph.D. degrees can apply. Students from the state of Rajasthan who want to pursue higher studies in foreign universities will receive financial support from this scholarship. The Rajasthan government has launched this scholarship named after its former Prime Minister. The Rajiv Gandhi scholarship was implemented on (August 20, 2021). Every year, about 200 students receive this free scholarship.

The main objective of launching the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship 2024 is to provide financial assistance to deserving poor students in the state. Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence Budget
Every year, the government of Rajasthan offers opportunities to about 200 students to study in universities abroad. Among them are about 150 universities. About 30 percent of the total seats are reserved for women candidates. The Rajasthan government has approved an additional budget of around Rs. 65 crore for the scheme for the years 2024-25. This scheme will help students pursue higher studies abroad.

Eligibility Criteria
Below we discuss the eligibility criteria for the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence Yojana.
- Firstly, the student must be a permanent resident of the state of Rajasthan.
- The applicant must have a Janadhaar.
- Applicants must have a twelfth/graduation/post-graduation/post-graduate/doctoral degree in a relevant subject from a recognized university/board.
- The student’s age should not be more than 35 years (as of July 1).
- The student must have a domicile certificate in Rajasthan.
- The student’s annual family income should be less than Rs. 8 lakh.
- Only one candidate per family will get the grant.

- Select the register option now, and the registration form will appear on the screen.
- Choose the citizen option and one of the following options.
- Fill in the information asked on the screen based on your choices and submit your registration.
- Now log in to the portal and search for the Apply link for “Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence Yojana- 2024”
- The application form will appear on the screen after clicking the application link.
- Fill out the application form with the requested information.
