What Is Odisha Kalia Scholarship 2024?

Kalia Scholarship has been specially launched keeping in mind the sons and daughters of farmers of Odisha state. Students get financial benefits from this scholarship scheme with which they can be admitted to any course in government private and professional colleges. The students who are selected from this scholarship according to their eligibility will get the benefit of the Kalia Scholarship Scheme. Farmers of all categories big and small are eligible for all student scholarships. Students will get all the money directly into the bank account from the scholarship. Tuition Fees, Annual Fees, Time Fees, and Hostel costs are covered by this scholarship.

Kalia Scholarship Latest Information

The validity of the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (Kalia) scheme; believed to be the game changer for BJD, widely believed to have helped it retain power for the fifth successive term in 2019, has been extended until the 2024-25 financial year.

The state cabinet, which met on Sunday, approved Rs 5,933 crore for the implementation of the income support scheme for three years from 2021-22 to 2024-25. Around 51 lakh farmers, including 14 lakh landless agricultural labourers, are covered under the scheme. 

Object Of Kalia Scholarship 

The main objective of the Kalia Scholarship Yojana 2024 is to provide financial assistance to the youth of the state whose parents are eligible for the Kalia Yojana. The award of these scholarships will increase the employment rate in the state. Students no longer need to worry about the cost of getting an education. The Odisha State Government will distribute education money among the students through this scholarship Scheme.
