Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship offers two different types of scholarships. If you belong to the Schedule Caste (SC) and OBC category then this scholarship is for you. Applicants can apply for Post Matric Scholarship by filling out an application form available on the official portal of the National Portal Scheme. Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria

For Scheduled Castes (SC) Students

  • Applicants must be Indian citizens and belong to the Scheduled Castes (SC) category.
  • The annual family income of students should be below 2 lakh 50 thousand.
  • Students who have completed multiple levels of education and subsequently change their course of study are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • Students pursuing postgraduate medical courses are eligible for this scholarship.
  • Students pursuing distance learning and correspondence are also eligible to apply. Students who are Dr. Ambedkar scholarship applicants will not get any other scholarship.
  • Students must have passed class 10 from a recognized institution and must be enrolled in a post-matric course.
  • Applicants given pre-examination coaching by State or Central Government financial assistance are not eligible for Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship in Punjab

For OBC Students

  • Applicants must be Indian citizens and belong to the OBC category.

  • Only two boys from the same family can apply for the Dr. Ambedkar scholarship in Punjab. However, this rule does not apply to the girl candidates.

You need some mandatory documents to apply for the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship if you don’t have then you can’t apply for this scholarship Documents required for the scholarship are discussed below:-

  • Passport-size photo of the applicant.
  • Pursuing class details.
  • Class 10th/12th marks sheet and pass certificate.
  • Self-attested certificate of previous year’s mark sheet.
  • Fee receipt of the current course year.

Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship: Renewal Process

  1. To renew your application you need to go to the scholarship portal and click on “new registration”.
  2. The Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship login credentials used earlier should be entered.
  3. Then go to the application window and click on the “renewal application” button for the current year.
  4. Enter” all personal details and generate a new ID and password.
  5. Candidates have to log in to the portal using the received credentials.
  6. Then the scholarship form will appear where the student has to enter the details like the previous year’s attendance details merit score etc.
  7. They can update any other details if needed.
  8. The final step is to upload all the required documents and ‘Submit‘ the renewal application
